HOM Resort Rooms - Afytos, Chalkidiki

The Concept

From the very beginning, the vision for Hom Afitos was clear: to create a minimalist, modern sanctuary that respects the cultural and natural context of Afytos. Known for its stone-built houses, cobbled streets and panoramic sea views, Afytos is a place of authenticity. Our goal was to honor this heritage while introducing fresh, sophisticated aesthetics that elevate the visitor experience.

Materiality & Craftsmanship

At VANI Constructions, material selection is never arbitrary. Hom Afitos features:

• Locally sourced stone that grounds the building in its environment.
• Wood accents that introduce warmth to the minimalist framework.
• High-quality finishes that balance durability with elegance.

Each element reflects our ethos of design with purpose — every material, color, and line was chosen to enhance both functionality and beauty. The design concept was guided by three principles:

Respect for Tradition: The exterior embraces local stonework, echoing the timeless architecture of Afytos. This ensures that the building integrates seamlessly into the village’s traditional character while maintaining a unique identity.

Minimalist Modernism: The interiors embody clean lines, neutral palettes, and subtle textures. The use of natural light, airy layouts, and thoughtful details creates a sense of calm, comfort, and understated luxury.

Connection with Nature: Terraces, garden areas, and open spaces invite natural elements into the living experience. Guests can enjoy both privacy and a strong visual connection with the serene surroundings.

Architectural Approach & The Experience

Beyond its architecture, Hom Afitos is designed as a retreat. Rooms are soundproofed for tranquility, carefully planned to maximize comfort, and equipped with modern amenities while retaining an intimate, homely atmosphere. The result is a stay that feels both luxurious and authentic.

VANI Constructions specializes in creating high-quality residential and hospitality projects across Greece. With a focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and design excellence, we bring visions to life by harmonizing tradition and modernity.
